September 2007
Packages went out to Christopher Sanchez and
Matt Offiler this month. Great news about
our other contacts is that they are all on their
way home - or have recently arrived back home.
First, here is an email from Lucas Dresser.
Lucas is young marine from Florida who has been
our contact for over 6 months and has been in
Iraq for one year. Lucas just returned
home and is traveling to Rhode Island for the
3rd Annual Rhody's Run for the Troops.
Kristin,
Hey! I'm finally getting settled back in at
home. I have had such a good visit with
everyone, it's great to be home. We all are
looking forward to our trip up to RI! It's only
a few more weekends away I can't believe it.
Until next time we speak, take care and I'll
talk to you soon!
-Luke
This month, we sent lots of snacks, toiletries,
newspapers and magazines with both Matt and
Christopher. We also sent about
25 DVDs and a portable DVD player
to both of them. We'll certainly pass
along their emails once we hear that the
packages have been received.
Here is the picture of Matt and
his soldiers before going on patrol.

We are looking forward to seeing you all at the
race. When you arrive, take a look around
- you'll see some familiar faces or their
families:

Thank you to our
sponsors! We could not have the race
without them.
