9/25/05 - Our September

(our new contact - check her out to the left) gave us a
list of very specific items that were wanted. Here
is what we sent:
black gel pens, DVDs
(Lost, Season 1, Simpsons, Season 6, Hitch, Fever Pitch,
Twilight Zone, Spiderman 2, Meet the Fockers. The
Aviator, Crash, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2005, Maxim
Swimsuit 2005), Freezer Bags (all sizes), Nerds, Ramen
Noodles, Little Debbie Snacks, Swedish Fish, Fruit Cups
and of course, loads and loads of all types of
magazines!
Don't forget the race
is 10-16-05. Sign up now!
News:
Laurie (our 3rd contact) is coming home for two
weeks of R&R in October. We are hoping
she'll make it to the race.
Art (our 2nd contact) and his wife, Olga,
welcomed a baby girl, Anna, 7lbs 5 oz two weeks ago.
Everyone, including big sister Sasha, are doing great.
Art is being deployed again in November.
Here's a letter from our
new contact, SSG Amy Litman:
Hi
Kristin,
Thanks for emailing...I was expecting to
hear from you soon. CPT Ludovici (Laurie, to you)
told me all about you and I have been seeing all the
wonderful care packages that you and your organization
send to us over here. I'm sure I have personally
benefited from some of the goodies as well! You
wouldn't believe how fast the stuff gets taken off the
shelf once we put it out. Hours at the longest!
Would you like a picture of the morale shelves we have
located in the battalion mail room?
Again, its so great that people like
yourself are so interested in doing your part, which by
the way, is so important and visible to the Soldiers
currently deployed. Keep up the good work.
Included in the attachments is a "new" list of ideas of
goodies that I surveyed some of my co-workers with.
Take Care,
SSG Amy

10/05/05 - Our
September packages arrived and are being enjoyed.
Check out the pictures and email from Amy. Also,
our pot has grown to $651 (this does not include any
race profit). Thanks for being so generous.
The race went extremely well yesterday. Special
thanks to everyone who was there to support us.

Hi Kristin,
We received all the boxes several days ago and it
everything was great!! As promised, here are some shots
of our battalion mailroom with all the goodies for the
grabbin'. Included is also a shot of our movie
collection. We do have approximately 100 movies but they
are usually always signed out. The movies as well as the
other items are so appreciated by the troops. Thank you
for all your support!
