3rd Annual Rhody's Run for the Troops
All proceeds from the race go to Pack It Up, which sends care packages to our local troops currently deployed in Iraq.

Thank you to everyone who came out for the 3rd Annual Rhody's Run for the Troops on Sunday, October 7th.  It was a wonderful day - good weather and great people make for a fantastic combination.

We'd like to especially thank all of the volunteers who each year come back to support the race and Pack It Up.  We could never have the race without their enthusiasm and dedication - and they all approach the day with a very positive attitude.  Thank you volunteers!

Our special guests for the weekend were Marine SGT Lucas Dresser and Marine SGT Jennifer Chinchilla.  Lucas and Jennifer have just returned from Iraq and flew into RI from Atlanta for the race.  We thoroughly enjoyed having them here and were honored they could make it to the race.



Our grand total raised on Sunday was:

This is the most we have ever raised in any Pack It Up event and more than doubles what we raised last year.  It is all thanks to your generosity and that of our sponsors.  Think about how much will be sent to Iraq with $11, 640!!
