Two weeks ago, we sent out packages to
three new contacts - Jonah Carpenter, Chris
Briley and Matt Anderson.
Hello,
My team of four Marines are supporting the
Afghan National Army and will be in an extremely
isolated location for the next few months. There
is no Exchange, laundry facilities, we do have
field showers. Entertainment items are always
appreciated, as well as any thing else you send.
We appreciate all the support, and little things
go long way, even among the local village
children--you would be amazed at how grateful
they are for the smallest piece of candy.
Again, thank you so much for all the support.
Lt Chris Briley
Good Afternoon,
I am representing a Marine team from Camp
Pendleton, CA. This team is a small detachment
called a Border Transition Team; we train Iraqi
Border Police to protect their border similar to
our own Border Police. We live in the true
desert away from most other units, we are
outside the wire 100% of the time, embedded with
an Iraqi Battalion. We have very little
infrastructure, there is NOT a laundry service
or a full chow hall. We have a small kitchenette
which includes electric stove top, fridge and
big freezer. Thank you for your support.
