11/1/05 - Thanks to Beth McCormack and Tom Hamill.  Beth and Tom host an annual Halloween bash in Boston and the proceeds benefit their favorite charity.  This year, we were the lucky recipients and have received a $570 donation!!  We are now over $14,000 in donations.  Unbelievable!!

10/25/05
Our October packages went out this week.  We sent a total of 8 packages over to Amy which contained the following:  mini marshmallows, hot chocolate, trail mix, candy, oreos, chips, dried fruit, granola bars, playing cards, handheld video games.  Also, we sent the following movies  (Amy requested some of these classics and we threw in some new stuff as well):  Pretty in Pink, Napoleon Dynamite, St Elmo's Fire, Gia, Breakfast Club, Cinderfella, Arrested Development Seasons One and Two, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2004, The Nutty Professor, Private Benjamin

We sent a lot of great stuff in these packages, but only had to spend $447 because of everything that was donated the day of the race.

Also, three of the boxes were full of donated magazines.  We were lucky enough to have the Women's Tennis team from Providence College organize a magazine drive, so special thanks to Marissa Bigelli.

From CPT Laurie Ludovici:
Amy tells me that we have recently received about 7 packages. I was not around for the opening, but she said they were well received and almost all of the goodies are gone. (I know we still have some of the peanut granola like bars in our office....they are yummy and some of the dried fruit, too!).

Really, Kristin, it was the highlight of our year here to get your boxes and see what kind of goodies we got (like Christmas)! So keep up the good work. Let me know and I can get you the info for both of the RI units.
:)

I think I might be home for Christmas!!!!!!! YEAH!
Thanks again,
Laurie
