U.S. Marines

From Nate:
I’m originally from Sacramento, Ca. I went into
the Marines about a year after graduating high
school (it would have been as soon as I
graduated, but I got injured during a Track
meet!). I’m 25, I’ve been in the Corps for
almost 7 years now. My first job was an
Anti-Tank Infantryman, stationed out in the
California desert. While doing that job I was
deployed out to Egypt, and then to Kuwait and
Iraq as part of the invasion force. A few years
ago I reenlisted and switched jobs, I am now a
career guidance counselor stationed in San
Diego. This is my third deployment to Iraq, and
I will be happy to have it over with! I am also
part of my Base’s running team, so about once a
month or so I represent the Marines in various
races in California, from 10Ks to marathons, and
when my deployments don’t interfere with it, I
go to DC for the Marine Corps Marathon.. My
extended family lives all over the US, but
mostly in northern California.
Thank you again for all that you have sent to
us, it has really made a difference for the
Marines out here!
