From our troops...

In response to our April packages, here is what our soldiers had to say:

From Sgt Lucas Dresser - Remember the IPODS we sent over last month?

I must say, I think you have out-done yourself with this one! The
packages just showed up today and I am amazed... I can not thank you ENOUGH for the things in here! Everything made it safe and in one piece. Let me send a specific thank you for the iPods/cases/adapter and CDs... The fact that you were so quick to fulfill that seemingly outrageous request speaks highly of your character. For some people, young and old, they have never owned anything like this and receiving this in a care package was completely mind-blowing! Getting these really made a lot of Marines', not only days, but tours a lot easier. You would be surprised how a little music goes a long way after a stress-filled day.

I could go on forever about the iPods and CDs (don't get me started on the cases either! They are more than PERFECT for all the sand out
here!!!) But I won't. Everything from the Cookies to the MILLIONS of
sunflower seeds is truly amazing! I am blessed to be a part of this
wonderful organization and will not let everything go un-noticed. I am
already trying to see if I could squeeze a long weekend out to show up for this years' 5k race. I would love to help in anyway. It would be the least that I could do. Thank you so much for everything! You all are something else... Take care!

PS - There was almost a fight over the shirt! Everyone is safe now
though and the shirt is in the rightful hands of a deserving owner.
Thanks again!
Respectfully,
Lucas P. Dresser

From 1LT Matt Offiler
Dear Pack It Up,
I received one of the packages again from you. I shared most of the food and items inside with my platoon, but I had to keep the Red Sox hat.. I cant say that was something I was expecting to see. Everything over here is going pretty well. Thank you again for supporting us.
1LT Matt Offiler
Platoon Leader
Baghdad, Iraq.

May 2007 Packages

For our May 2007 packages, we sent over specific requests for the following items to Rrea, Pete, Lucas, Chris, Chris and Matt:

Loads of Father's Day cards that could be sent back to the USA, razors and shaving cream, sun block, deodorant, socks, all sorts of healthy snacks, shampoo, conditioner, soap, air freshener, boxers, feminine products, drink mixes for water bottles, power bars, magazines, movies like The Good Shepard, Pursuit of Happyness, Borat, local Providence RI newspapers to our RI soldiers and of course... more Red Sox paraphernalia.

These packages cost us just under $1,400.
Thanks to your generosity, we still have a few month's worth of donations to keep us going.

Thank you for all your support.
