Laurie grew up in Cumberland, RI and now lives with her family in South Kingtown, RI (very close to URI).  Her parents live close by in Narragansett.  She has one sister who lives in Virgina and works in DC and one brother who lives in Connecticut.

Laurie and her husband, Tom, have two children - Julia who turned 7 in May and TJ (Thomas Joseph) who is almost 2 years old. 

Laurie is a huge Red Sox fan.  HUGE.  She was lucky enough to see some of the World Series live at Fenway and reports that those great memories are what bring her some comfort during this year away from her family.
