Frederick
L Gilmetti Jr, USMC
Freddie is a Massachusetts native - born and
raised in Whitman, MA. He is one of 5
children and has 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
The apple of his eye is his goddaughter, Taylor.
In October 2006, Fred's humvee was blown up by a
road side bomb, resulting in the vehicle being
flipped over. No one was killed,
thankfully. Just a few months later, Fred
was shot by a sniper. He bears the scar of
this injury on his chin and will receive the
Purple Heart.
We are thrilled to report that
CPL Fred Gilmetti is back home in Massachusetts
after 7 months in Iraq. Welcome back Fred!
