Christmas 2007

On Saturday, December 8th, volunteers gathered and we packed up **500 stockings** that were full of candy, playing cards, gum, snacks, trinkets and most importantly letters!  We received over 1,000 cards and letters from kids across the nation that were sent over in the stockings.

When all was said and done, the adults came through as well and most stockings had a heartfelt letter from a stranger, which I guarantee will mean the most!

For our BIG GIFTS, we sent over a Flat Screen TV to one group, a Play Station 3 with controller and extra games to another, an extensive DVD library to two other groups, about 50 books to another, lots of sports equipment to two other groups.

Along with all of that, we sent over many, many items that were donated by our generous supporters.  These items include coffee, blankets, toiletries, newspapers, food, movies, CDs.  Thanks to everyone who made such an effort to make sure we received everything in time to make it into our Christmas packages.
