Art was at the Indy 500 this weekend as
part of the pit crew for the Jaques Lazier team. Here's what he had to say
about his weekend... I spoke with him after this email and he was totally
psyched about his weekend. If you "google" Art Floru, there are a bunch of
articles about his part in the race this weekend.
Kristin,
It has been an overwhelming couple of weeks. Being part of an Indy pit crew was
in the top three most exciting things I've ever done. I can't put into words
what this was like. Dinner with Gomer Pyle and Mrs Brady Thursday night, Larry
Bird on Saturday night and I mean I'm with him and his wife for two hours.
Russell Crowe wishes me luck before the interview. Colin Powell stopped by the
pit to thank the team for having a military guy on the team. Sergei Federov
(great Russian hockey player and three time Stanley Cup winner is now my buddy.)
He called Olga at home. Nicest pro athlete I've ever met. Toby Keith called me
on Saturday to wish me luck. I am very fortunate.
My team owners Gary and Sue are some very fine Americans.
