Air Show 2005

On a personal note, my family and I were treated to a fantastic time at the RI Air Show in Quonset this past weekend. The best part was finally meeting Larry and Art. They could not have been nicer or more hospitable to all of us. I don't think I can express to you here how much they appreciate the packages that we send. If you ever think that it's not a big deal what we're doing, think again, because they think it's awesome and are overwhelmingly appreciative.
We went to a cookout on Thursday night at Colonel Gallogly's house in Snug Harbor where we met just about all the participants in the Air Show. On Friday, I was treated to a ride in a stunt plane while my parents (Bob and Mimi) were in the photographer's plane right next to me. Definitely a thrill ride!!
Check out all the pictures.
Then, my parents, Uncle John and I were able to watch the dress rehearsal for the air show all day Friday, along with a behind the scenes look at everything from Art and Larry. Friday night, my whole family headed to the Coast Guard house for a performer's party. The CG House is a bar right on the ocean in RI and there was a mini air show for everyone that night, followed by lots of merriment!
Sunday, we headed back to the 'real' air show with my 4 year old niece, Sydney, and she loved it! All in all, a great weekend and I really wish all of you who have been so supportive could have experienced one tenth of the hospitality, appreciation and warmth that we were shown.
